It is your birthday today. You would have been 40 years old. August 25 1967 was a blessed day in our lives. We were blessed by your birth. We enjoyed parenting you tremendously. Since you were four years younger than your brother, we remember the four years that we had you alone with us. Your sister and brother left for college and you stayed with us. They were beautiful four years. We are giving a mass in your memory at our church. We will pray for you together with all the 6:30 AM parishioners. We love you (August 25, 2007) |
Benny and Jenny with their children are visiting us. They joined us in our visit to the Mortuary. They put two roses in the flower vase. We prayed and asked the Lord for His Mercy.  George and Benny. Jenny and Mona.

It is the time of the year when UCLA and your sister, May, plan for the Blood Donation drive in your memory. This year it will be on Sunday, September 09, 2007 from 8:30 am - 1:30 pm in Stroup Hall, Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 18400 Kinzie Street, Northridge. We pray that there will be a good show up. It was a beautiful day, Sunday September 9 2007. Twenty nine persons were accepted to donate blood. UCLA are getting more strict in their acceptance of blood Donors. They were happy with the number. Today, November 2 is the "All Souls Day". We remember all those who passed away and are no more with us and we pray: Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May the souls of the faithfully departed through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen. "Those whom we love and lose are no longer where they were. They are now where ever WE ARE." It is now two weeks since your Mom and I started debating whether we get out some decorations for the 2007 Holiday Season. Finally, today, your Mom asked me to get the Christams tree out, which I did. I aso got out some ornaments of the Holy Family, a collection of Christmas figurine and a string of lights. Today, a friend of yours from HBS, Joel Anderson, sent me an e-mail telling me about photos of yours that he cherished and wants me to have them. It was my first Christmas present this year. I want you to read the message here: "Thank you for reaching out to me. I have been thinking of Waleed for many months recently when I found some old photos of some GREAT times he and I had together. Your son's talents in water skiing were amazing. I was saving these photos to bring to our HBS reunion this coming summer. When my daughter, Elli, died on Dec 4, my life was forever changed. One of those changes were the value I placed on the photos we had of her. I have so many of her laughing and smiling and those will forever be etched in my mind as I remember her. As I gathered photos of my daughter I was reminded of the photos I had of Waleed. I reached out to my good friend Jack and asked him to track you down for me. These photos belong to you, not to me. Your son and I had a good friendship at HBS. He always had a smile on his face and a bounce in his step. Your website reminded me how much I enjoyed Waleed. I pray he encounters my daughter in Heaven. I would like her to know Waleed. Thank you for your son. It was an honor to have known him. You raised a great son. I am sure he is enjoying his eternal life even more than he did his earthly one. Thank you for the prayers for us. We are grieving right now and adjusting to our life without our little Angel Elli. I will try to get these in the mail to you in the next week. " Thank you Joel for your thoughtfulness. It is a huge tragedy to lose one's child. Parents never forget such a happening. It is not the normal. Parents go first and then the children follow. But then there is FAITH. There is a reason for the Lord to try those who love HIM. Today is Christmas day. We will attend mass with May and Randy and the kids. This is the seventh Christmas without you. We pray that the Lord bring PEACE and understanding to the whole world.
