~      My first dream of you     ~

After 756 days since your death, I had my first dream of you.
We are in Kuwait. You looked to be 15 years old.
I was sitting in front of the TV set. When you came in, I noticed red blood all around your left eye. I yelled to you " What happened, another soccer accident? Did someone kick your face instead of the ball?".
As usual you answered coolly "It is nothing? I am alright. In a week's time it will heel up and be better".
"Can you see well?" I asked you.
"Yes, I can see very well" was your answer.
Then I woke up. I wanted some more. I tried to go back to sleep. May be you will come back into my dream.
Unfortunately, that was it.

~     Memorial Garden in Grosvenor Square, London      ~

When we were in London, we visited the Memorial Garden for the victims of September 11, 2001. It was constructed by the Department of Culture, Media and Sport at Grosvenor Square. We saw many people seated on the benches, meditating, silent and quiet for the serenity of the place.
Mom and I did the same.

Thank you DCMS.

~     Mass at the Monastry of St. John the Baptist, Douma      ~

We visited the monastry of St. John in Douma, Lebanon. The place is so spiritual and religious.
Umm Mariam held a prayer in your memory.
The nuns and father Touma prayed for you. The Zaccas and the Hajjars joined in their prayer.
At the monastry, they have your name in their book of prayers.
You will never be forgetten.

~     I come to accept      ~

I come to accept the terrible fact that you are dead. You are gone forever. You are with us no more.
Nothing can bring you back.
But,
You are in my thoughts. You are in my heart. You are in my prayers.
One day, I will join with you, then we will enjoy eternal life together.

~     A prayer to Blessed Mother Teresa      ~

A friend, Colleen Hayward, sent me recently a prayer to Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta who was recently beatified:

"Blessed Mother Teresa, source of unfailing help,
your compassionate heart knows a remedy for every afflicition and misery we encounter in life.
Help me find relief of my problems and needs, especially for ...(here indicate your special intentions).
Through your intercession, may I enjoy health of body and peace of mind.
On my part, Mother Teresa, I pledge to deepen my love and dedication to Jesus by serving others as you so generously did throughout your life."

~     Your Cross      ~

This was sent to me by the Couri family (from Illinois). They have a sick daughter, Cecilia who is dealing with complications of neuroblastoma.
She needs all our prayers.
The everlasting God has in His wisdom forseen from eternity the cross that He now presents to you as a gift from His inmost heart. This cross He now sends you He has considered with his all-knowing eyes, understood with His divine mind, tested with His wise justice, warmed with loving arms, and weighed with His own hands to see that it is not one inch too large nor one ounce too heavy for you. He has blessed it with His holy name, anointed it with His grace, perfumed it with His consolation, taken one last glance at you and your courage, and then sent it to you from heaven, a special greeting from God to you, an alms of the all-merciful love of God.
(St. Francis DeSales)

Please pray for Cecilia Couri.

~     Your vist to Mom      ~

The minute your Mom woke up, she told me of her dream.
You came to visit us. You wanted your favorite dish, Turkey with rice. She prepared it for you. You ate it with great appetite. You were so hungry.
I hope your next visit will be in my dream.
We miss you much.

~     The Third Christmas      ~

Ron and Charlotte Marconet, May's in-laws, sent us this poem with their yearly Christmas card.

I
see the
countless
Christmas trees
around the world below
with tiny lights like
heaven's stars reflecting
on the snow. The sight
is so spectacular, please wipe
away that tear, for
I'm spending Christmas
with Jesus Christ this year. I hear
the many Christmas songs
that people hold so dear, but the
sounds of music can't compare with the
Christmas choir up here. For
I have so words to tell you the joy
their voices bring, for it is beyond description
to hear as Angels sing. I know how
much you miss me, I see the pain inside your heart,
I can't tell you of the splendor or the peace here in this place, can you
imagine Christmas with our savior, face to face? I'll ask
Him to light your spirit as I tell Him of your love, so then pray
for one another, as you lift your eyes above. So please let your hearts
be joyful and let your spirit sing, for I am spending Christmas in Heaven
and I'm
walking
with the
King!
