Hummus Dip
(Garbanzo peas with Tahini)
Ingredients
Chick peas
Lemon juice
Garlic
Sesame oil (Tahini)
Salt
- Soak the chick peass over night in a pan of water with a teaspoon of baking soda
- Boil chick peas for 1 hour until soft.
(When it starts boiling, a white foam is generated. Scoop the white foam)
- Drain the water, then use a food processor (Cuisenart) to mince them with some garlic,
salt, sesame oil and lemon juice until the consistency is like sour cream.
Garnish with olive oil, green onion, pieces of tomato and a few cooked whole chick peas.
Serve as a dip with Arab bread or pitta.
