Memorial Tree Planting was held for California Victims of 9/11 Tragedy WHO: Families and friends of 9/11 lost loved ones from California Hollywood Beautification Team General Public WHAT: Memorial tree planting in honor of the 78 Californians who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001 WHEN: 9:00 AM June 22, 2002 WHERE: North Hollywood Park (North End), Magnolia at Tujunga, North Hollywood WHY: Seventy-eight Californians lost their lives in the vicious acts of terrorism on September 11, 2001, a day that will forever represent tragedy, loss, and grief for their families and loved ones. In an effort to be supportive of the families of the 78 California victims--and so many others--the Los Angeles-based Hollywood Beautification Team resolved to memorialize the victims in a special way: by planting trees in their honor.
