Edmond Iskandar sent me the following poem which he wrote in memory of your Birthday: Twenty fifth of August we celebrated Your Happy Birthday Parents relatives and friends gathered To enjoy the event as prepared. A short time after we were shocked When we heard on the news the case And your name amongst the victims appeared Which turned our heads in a wide daze Year after year we do remember The unforgettable date of September But we do find in December Glorious songs that act as prompter You taught us to be thankful To Almighty God our Creator It is a will from Him Though to us very painful Our memory may become weak To fix what we want or what we seek Therefore we must search for a remedy To refresh and keep it ever ready Not with standing any reason And or beyond every position Your character is inspiring Famous, unique and uplifting Now you are a star high in the sky As you were a beautiful flower in our garden You are in our thoughts day and night Your memory will never die Generosity is your top quality Which makes you so much loved. But when we add to it simplicity That makes you forever crowned. Your name is shining among us And to our hearts it is satisfaction. So whatever we hear it is more plus Hence you reached perfection. Your name is stirring our emotion With love which we admit. Whatever happens is not a portion Of the huge devotion which we submit. Nothing surpass your Angelic charm Nor your face with its purity. Which is far away from any harm To what we call humanity. Wherever we go or wherever we stay We do not find something to say. Except repeating your nice words Which sound to us as songs of birds. What we do cannot erase An unforgettable word or a phrase. Which at anytime comes to our mind And keep us mute, silent and blind. If we spend many hours in meditation We shall reap only our consolation. Days and nights we are stuck and caught By a magic secret which is the thought. As time passes by don't ever think That anything will change the link. Your love in our hearts is sublime And overloaded with great esteem. All the members of your family Every minute regret you absence And hope one day they join with you Though the way is long to go through Rest in peace and pray Think about us everyday. Very soon we shall join with you And many thousands will follow through. (Edmond Iskandar) (August 25, 2004) |
